European mink Species Committee.

The Species Committee was established in 2005.

The Species Committee consists of 6 members:

1. Tiit Maran (Tallinn Zoo,Estonia; the Chair)

2. Leif Blomqvist (Helsinki Zoo, Finland; represents Nordic and Baltic countries)

3. Ales Toman (Jihlava Zoo; Check Republic; represents eastern European countries)

4. Wolfgang Festl (Euronerz, Germany; represents Germany)

5. Sisco Manas (Pont de Suert, Spain; represents Spain )

6. Helena Marqués (Spain, nutrition advisor)

The first Species Committee meeting was held in October 2005 in Pont de Suert (Spain). The minutes of this meeting are here.

Second Species Committee meeting is planned to be hold in October 2006 immediatedly before the 23rd EAZA Annual Conference in Madrid.
